Adulthood

Those days' where I ran around in an open field with no solicitude of the world other than to have fun,

Days' where school hours were shorter, less homework, less school work, more freedom Have I took it for granted?

Getting into fights was as easy as it was to make up later, but

Without even realising, all these passed in a blink of an eye.

Maybe the dumbest wish as a kid was to be a grown up.

The older I get the more that I see, learn and realised that the world's is big, scary and cruel. Seasons never broke it's cycle but everything's changed.

Friends moves away one after another,

Will I be able to recognise them in the future if we ever cross path?

'Time waits for no one ' seems to hit harder.

Adulthood, it's complicated, painful and hard.

Regret, frustration, anxiety, worries, loneliness, depression and more I experience along the way and more there'll be in the future.

Painful memories where I got to learn along with beautiful memories I can treasure, Were some things I gain in the process.

Will my younger self be proud of what I am today?

I have come this far and I wish to persevere till the end .
