Adored Beloved, I Wait

Dearest to me as elusive as song,

Has spent quarter in mind but half in heart,

The other quarter was casted along,

So, in fool and in love, we are a part.

To me, my melody, if sit and wait,

Is unglorified, in part, as idle,

Then be me as graced as fisher with bait,

And be it the waters rich with tidal.

Thus, with this confession, know with your soul,

To adorn my true love, you ought to come,

Place here your own heart, and swear to me whole,

The beat in my chest is shared with your drum.

So brave your waters and your ever skies,

Oh, the beloved symphony of mine.
