Colour me pink, colour me pretty.

Embed in me ancient art of many patterns.

Transform me into not just fabric,

But heritage housed in fine cloth.

A living legacy of stories untold.

Stories of black hands fashioning fabric anew with ink.

Stories of royalty embellished in me through many generations.

Let my Indigo shine bright on black skin.

A radiant contrast singing praise to God in heaven.

The one who blessed hands with the privilege of birthing art like me.
