Addiction

By Dr.Monis Rizwan

Morning breath of fresh air

Need of blood rush? You were always there

No matter what I’ve been upto

You have always been my go to

The first touch of the lips

And the feel of how it lifts the soul

Heavy head to feeling low

Your warmth and I’m ready to go

Of all the things in my day

That I go through every day

Irreplaceable is what you are now

Addiction maybe but do I give you up how?

When I was told you were hurting me

And my blood pressured when you were in me

Sneaking out just to get a taste

Oh how those late nights without you would be a waste

Love, obsession, habit or recreation

To me you are my saviour
