Act Of Waiting

By Kristy Saikia

We wait, tirelessly and hopelessly.

We yearn for the unsaid apologies, yearn for

certain acts of kindness,

or sometimes just desires the presence of

someone right next to our seat.

This heart of ours, deceives us.

We are paralysed by our boundless emotions.

These entanglement of unsaid voices inside, choke us.

Humans wait like,

the sea waits for the shore,

the sky waits for the sea.

Hopelessly and tirelessly.

So simple, yet it holds the weight of so many unspoken emotions.
