Accident

He was on the road,

Bleeding.

They couldn't care less,

They walked,

They walked over him.

The wheels rolled,

The wheels rolled over him.

I was disgusted by the pathetic creature.

Walked towards him and commanded-

Move.

Get up.

'You don't deserve the sweetness of death

You should suffer and live a miserable life,

You filthy creature'

He was born into an abysmal family

And led a sordid life.

His putrid body,

It is just as disgusting as it always was.

Heaven wouldn't let him in,

His stench was engraved in his soul.

Even Hell wouldn't welcome him.

I laughed at his state of misery,

The onlookers joined me,

Laughter roared in the streets-

It echoed in every house and shop.

The pathetic creature sat there whining;

In a liminal state,

As death wouldn't welcome him

And he refused to come back and live.

Disgusting, filthy, pathetic creature.

At that moment a sound froze everyone,

Through the laughter,

A soft sob-

A little girl,

Walked towards him and gave him a hug.

In that moment all laughter died.

In that moment his life faded.

He died.

In that moment I knew-

We knew.

We knew where he went.

His smile symbolised our defeat.
