Abandoned Bird

A blue hued bird far from home,

Set itself free to roam

Here and there amongst the woods

She lost her way for her own good.

She flew along the zephyr

Taking care of the quilled feather her mother designed,

All she could see was the moon

Which if she reached could be a boon.

On the way a twig tore her lucky charm

But couldn't rip her spirit apart,

She fell on the mud limp and bare,

With her fall she begun to prepare...

Like a phoenix she rose

Clutching the tree with her claws so close,

Yes it pained a lot to her ,

But she wasn't the one to complain either..

Indomitable was the name of the bird,

Similar to her spirit that was undeterred

Valour was the place she belonged,

Where everyone was taught to be headstrong...
