आवर्तन

हवा के झोंकों के साथ झूमते पेड़

थपेड़ों से थरथराती कलियाँ।

बेलों से महकती दीवारों वाली गलियाँ।

तालाब, झरनों, नहरों, नदियों का जल

परिकल्पना से परे हो गया वो कल-कल का स्वर।

उनसे सिंचित खेत कहीं गुम हो गये हैं

खेत जोतने वाले बैलों के गले में बंधी घंटियों के स्वर

ट्रैक्टरों की कर्कश ध्वनि तले

कहीं खो गए हैं।

चिड़ियों का कलरव कल्पना से है परे

सीमेंट-गारे से पटती भूमि

कहाँ रह गए खेत-खलिहान

वृक्ष वो हरे-भरे

कीटनाशकों के छिड़काव से चेतनाविहीन मृदा

उगाती थी फल - सब्जियाँ

रसायनों में पहले यदा-कदा

अब तो सदा।

पर्वतों पर भी गरमी की मार

कहाँ तो ये उठाते थे

हरे-भरे, घने वृक्षों का भार I

लौह से दृढ़ ये अडिग पहाड़

कब मोम से यों लगे पिघलने

उत्पन्न हुआ हाहाकार

देखता चेतनाशून्य-सा खड़ा

विवश हो समस्त संसार।

सोना उगलते खेतों को

विस्थापित करती इमारतें।

पंछियों के बसेरों को वीरान करते कारखाने

तबाही कौन-सी लाएँगे

कौन जाने - कौन जाने !

रुको .... सुनो...

हाँ ! पदचाप कुछ तो सुनाई दे रहा है

कुल्हाड़ी की जगह शायद

हाथों में कोई फावड़ा ले रहा है !

पश्चाताप मानव का उसे लौटा रहा है।

प्रगति की अंधी दौड़ में थककर अब वो पछता रहा है।

पर्यावरण के संरक्षण का स्वप्न

जीवंत होता नज़र आ रहा है।

सुनो वह गीत, वह सुमधुर स्वर

जो संवारने को इस धरती को

निरंतर कोई गा रहा है।

हवा के झोंकों के साथ झूमते पेड़

थपेड़ों से थरथराती कलियाँ

बेलों से महकती दीवारों वाली इमारतों की गलियाँ

फिर से इन पर नज़र आएँगे

किसलय और सुरभित कलियाँ।
