A Walk In The Rain

Rain is a beautiful feeling

only people like us understand.

It is somehow different

for each and everyone of us.

We do not shy away,

do not look for cover,

standing with arms wide open

and our faces to the sky.

We welcome the raindrops

falling on our skins

until they soak our souls

and nourish our hearts.

It is effortlessly easy to love

the flowers of  spring

or the colors of autumn

or the snows of winter.

But it takes a truly remarkable soul

to notice the magnificent beauty

in the shades of deep grey

and silver lightening in the clouds.

The wilder and stormier it is,

the more it calms my soul.

The tumultuous rumble of thunder

quietens my clamoring thoughts.

Whenever we get to meet

I would love to lie down

in the rain with you

and feel like we are the only two.

The soothing white noise

will add music to your voice

and I would love to hear

everything about you.

Although your smile is enough

 to get me warmed up

but we will have your favorite tea

as I learn your mother’s recipe.
