A Time So Sweet

As I sit back and reminisce,
I wonder, will there be another time,
So sweet that it turned the tide of day.
Those conversations shared, which I thought were mine,
And only mine, now a faint memory, erased from her mind.
As more and more time passes by, I wonder,
Will I be forgotten, was I just a small phase,
Of whom I revered, I cherished, I loved, with
All of my heart, and now to think of her,
As far and distant, it pains me.
All her smiles, all her laughs, I thought,
Were borne only of me, but I realise my fallacy,
She shall have found another solace,
And there I lay, beside the dust, cast aside,
By the one whom I thought was meant to be mine.
Alas! My heart still yearns for her voice and smile,
And again and again to not falter and try,
To make her see what I can offer her.
She is blinded by doubt, hesitation, and remorse,
Which at last, she never wants to heal and cure.
