A Thousand Words

Updated: Feb 12

By Aanvi Bagaria

A thousand words, a thousand days

a thousand people, a thousand ways

a thousand lives, a thousand thoughts

a thousand guns, a thousand shots

a thousand roads, a thousand cars

a thousand buildings, a thousand stars

a thousand grains of sand,

a thousand acres of land

Amongst a thousand lay a soul,

one heart broken, one out of control

one stomach cast unfed,

one tear left to shed

one smile secretly shared

one voice lost, one voice scared

a thousand words, a thousand days

one life taken, one single praise
