A tapestry of blossoms.

Concrete and blooms,

Side by side,

Pushing and pulling,

Like ocean tides.

To take a path,

Paved in cement,

Or one shaded,

By leafy content?

Too afraid to follow the branches,

Into dusty paths left pristine,

Everyone preaching that,

Success lies in bricked routine.

That adventure should live,

Only in books and art,

That following your head,

Is better than your heart.

That you build empires out of stone,

Not meadows filled with flowers,

That frolicking in fields,

Is a waste of your hours.

Because these scenes,

Belong on castle walls,

Too picture perfect,

For reality’s halls.

So, we’re forced to hang our dreams,

In the name of rational customs,

Left as memories sewn in curtains,

A keepsake, a tapestry of blossoms.
