A Tale of a Hundred Words

Shall I tell you a tale, a tale of a hundred words,

Hushed memories and tears hidden away from the world.

A story of one, but where two people roam

Words of love as time comes and goes.

He roams among the flowers and ashes of old

Sits neath the bowers of leaves turning gold

He smiles and laughs along paths unfold

He fills the world with smiles so bold.

Under every tree, through every path

He fills every corner no small part

He plucks the flowers dancing in the wind

Drinks in the birds, the tunes they sing.

The gurgling stream he bends to his will

How it turns to his every whim

Every stone is adorned with his sweet love

Every step is sacred of the golden run.

Then he walks on as quickly as he has come

Still he smiles on as flowers fall down

So easily he walks without a step back

Not a single glance or one look back.

And there I am left in the remnants of his wake

There I stay as the seasons fade away

The wind holds my whispers, the streams my tears

They hold on to the memories, words of yesteryear.

Once again he comes back when it is his fancy

The gates always open for his sweet wonderings

And he roams again till he finds another door

And a hundred words untold I bury once more.
