A SUNBEAM OF HOPE

The shining yellow colour of the sunbeam

That comes in my room

Through the veils of my wide window

It gives me new thoughts.

There is a charming spectrum of hues.

That rings me every dawn

Whenever I stare at the sky through my window,

Imagine running down from my bed one day,

And could enjoy the morning dews below my bare feet

The sunbeam is holding my hope alive.

In the darkened room of the castle

Sprawling down on the floor,

When there is no hope of light,

The sunbeam from the lattice

Sparkle the colour of brightness

And suddenly you will gather all your courage

To fight back and stand still against all odd thoughts

It’s the time of new hope for survival

It’s the time to get ready for a new life.

The bedridden soul wrapped in Lenin cloth

Forget when he walked through the deep corridor

The serpent of sickness gradually consuming him

But he never gets disheartened

And he will never surrender.

In the snowy winter dawn

When the blanket withdrew to service

The graceful and caring sunbeam

Brings the promise of warmth,

And the sunbeam cuddles his legs

With a motherly touch.
