A Someone’s Somewhere

I have felt alone

I’ve traversed the patches of life where I’ve absolutely sat and downright wept in pure agony and pain

I still weep though, my tears hidden in plain sight

All through midnight

Until morrow

Numerous scars cauterized with my ever well heeled  method of burying it all underground

Those skeletons in my closets are long gone

They are buried so far, that they come out with molten lava

I fear an eruption sometimes

But it never comes

The loneliness has grown with me

It shifted from the threads of my napkin on the table in a hollow classroom

To the light of my phone that seeps into the cracks lining my ceiling

It echoes in the same blue light that reflects in my eyes at  lunch ,dinner and breakfast

It rests in my weary eyebags,

My pillowcases

A wilful marauder

It garnishes the blue in my sheets

The silence in the corridor

It inlays within the pavement

The tiles that adorn it ,that bear this gruesome weight

It has sometimes been cured by the magic of company

Nevertheless they are too far from me now

My lungs gasping for air

I still remain ,going through cycles of despair

Those cycles with wheels which never seem to find a pair

The loneliness lingers,a companion throughout

Much less of a burden I ought to bear

More of a souvenir from life I ought to pair

Maybe a lifetime, maybe a day

Somewhere in the stars  I’ll find solace

This burden often too heavy to bear

For I know I’ll never be a someone’s somewhere
