A Snapchat Story

This is concise, but frightening story of something that happened when I was snapchatting a friend. I’m a teenage only 13 and still in middle school. A boy, I really liked had just recently started snapping me selfie pictures and we started texting each other for a few days and nights.

One night when I was watching a movie on TV, he sent me a click of himself lying in his bed without a caption. I sent a message saying “what’s up?” He sent another alike picture. This time with a caption saying “Not Much, You?” He set the timer to 30 seconds. So it gave me plenty of time to analyze the picture including her bedroom in the backgrounds. And the dark outline of a person standing by his window. I quickly sent a response message saying ‘Is that your sister by the window?’ He sent another alike snap this time captioned, “what do you mean?” In this click the figure at the window was closer and I could see a hands pressed up against the window glass. I closed the snap before the timer even ran out so that I could tell him quicker. I said there’s somebody at your

window turn around! He opened my snap almost immediately and then I didn’t hear from him again on the snapchat. My worries grew more and more as the time passed. I messaged him a few times to no avail. I tried calling him a few times to no avail as well. I didn’t know his house contact number or his parents contact number. Otherwise, I would have called her parents. It wasn’t until 3 AM when I was already lying in bed that he finally messaged me back. He described everything about the situation. As soon as he looked at his window and saw the person standing there, he screamed and got terrified and that caused the person who might be 30 year old woman to open the window glass and enter into the room by a jump. Immediately, he ran to his parents’ room and woke her dad, who entered his room to find nothing but an open window.

This is a true-disturbing personal story of mine and it freaks me out every time I think about it. Knowing that the only thing that saved my friend from whatsoever could have happened was the fact that I was able to see the window through his pictures, unaware to the lady at his window.
