The raindrops slashed heavily on the roofs, roads, and everywhere! An evening with thunderstorms, and zip-zap lightning striking the sky, a perfect weather for relishing hot hot delicacies!
A time for all the savouries getting ready in the kitchen of a restaurant, to be served to the customers who are enjoying the lovely weather, eager to grab their hot platters! Now, the hot favourites are awaiting their turn to be served on the platters!
Now interesting conversation takes place among the hot favourites. The crispy Medu Vada, Khara bhath (a combination of soft Upma and the sweet
Kesari bhath), the rich Benne(butter) Masala Dosa, the healthy Rava Idli, a special favourite Kotte Idli (idli made in leaf), the long Hakka Noodles, round round Goli Bhajji, spicy Mirchi Bhajji, were the main delegates! The crispy Medu Vada expressed that its crispiness, combined with hot sambar and chutney, makes it very tasty, making it win maximum orders! Goli Bhajji interrupted saying it would be preferred in the rainy weather, because of its taste and spongy texture! Mirchi Bhajji couldn't resist arguing that this hot hot Chilli Bhajji would be ideal to be relished. The big Benne (butter) Masala Dosa barged in saying its rich butter topping along with potato filling would be everyone's choice. Noodles was smart enough to say, "Hey you all, I am sure everyone would prefer me as they would be bored of having South Indian stuff daily!" Paneer Manchurian quickly objected, "Paneer is everyone's favourite, especially North Indians love it"! The talks gaining momentum, seemed to become a table for arguments now! Just realising that things would go haywire, the Khara Bhath duo- the soft-spoken Upma and the sweet Kesari Bhath decided to intervene to calm down the situation. Upma said, "Friends, we are all equally important, depending on our tastes, regions, and preferences. So, let's leave it to our customers to relish what they are craving!"
"Exactly!" said Kesari bhath," We all know we are liked and relished by different sets of people. So why fight over who is important? The likings and cravings depend on the mood, the time, and the atmosphere. After all, it's their choice. We can make them happy if they choose us, isn't it?!" The words of these two friends stunned their counterparts! Yes, indeed! It's a fact. There is no point in making it a big issue said the crispy Medu Vada, which had started the argument, continuing, "Let's all calm down and wait for our turns". Everyone agreed and quietly awaited their turn, admiring each other when they were chosen!
So are humans, aren’t they? Why fight for existence, bringing in caste and creed, thus disturbing the communal harmony? Every person in this world is important, having his/her own identity. It is just that we, as humans, should learn to accept it and appreciate other's well-being too to keep our Mother Earth calm and peaceful.
