A Rainy Day

To look straight into your eyes,
Is to enter the never ending loop
Of falling and falling yet again.
So I sat behind, gazing your contour
Surreptitiously from behind.
Murky clouds hover over the sky,
The thirsty land, drenched by the drizzle
Your loosened veil swings in the wind
Carried by the four leaved fan.
Your hair still diaphanous and enchanting.
You turned to the side, smiling
End to end, to something unknown.
Where was it when i tried for the same?
You stepped onto the podium;
Even in this dim weather and room
You shine brighter than the north star.
The lecture begun, focus onward.
Some listened, many eager to leave,
And Me? I tried to escape those eyes,
And silvery voice of yours,
Fixing myself onto the lit screen.
What you taught us, I dont know.
But When you said risk of diabetes,
Explain why you left yourself out ?
You must know that, you above everyone
Sweetened my liver, beyond pancreatic repair.
Times up, letures' over, out went everyone.
The rain poured down stronger.
Was it foretelling me, to not look her way?
Or was it a herculean task
Beckoning me to pursue her ?
The lone night came by;
With it, a blinding fog i never seen.
I couldn't see the moon up the heavens,
That interlinked our gazes .
I was always called as an intellect,
carrying many a skill, a pure asset.
Alas!! Little they knew how much fool i was
Dreaming a world of just us.
