A Portal to Realms Far & Wide

As I step onto the platform’s edge
Memories flood, a timeless pledge.
The loco’s whistle, sharp and clear
Echoes of a bygone year.
Transported back to childhood days,
When thoughts were simple, life’s sweet maze.
The station buzzed with vibrant life,
Vendors’ cries, a rhythmic strife.
The station master, flag in hand,
Waved lazily, a quiet command.
The rumble of a train departing,
Travelers’ haste, their journeys starting.
A portal to realms far and wide,
Where dreams and destinies collide.
Now lost in time’s relentless flow,
Yet the magic lingers, soft and slow.
Awaiting the next train as I roam,
I feel the pull, the call of home.
In this moment, as engines drone,
I know within, I’m not alone.
