A Poet

The pen in my hand is an allegory

of all the wild imaginations of a young writer

Who believes she is one of a kind

Yet cannot find

Every meaning behind

All the little lines that come to her mind .

So she writes , grips that magical pen and starts ;

“Words are spells I cast ,

With the magical wand I hold in my hand ,

I summon myself from the past

And jot down all the stories about my la la land

The power is blinding

The emotions are personal and

The passion is undying.

Every drop of ink that touches the surface of my damp notebook,

Unveils ideas in my mind that I never really understood

I feel invincible in the power I hold when ,with

The ink that brings a glitch in the matrix ,

I spray the page with my magic under the fluorescent lamp at night

And make you perceive the world completely different in broad daylight .”

But, I am just a poet wannabe

Who wants to think like shakespeare

And also like Emily ,

In the end , I try because I am writer

Who believes she is one of a kind

And still cannot find

Every meaning behind

All the little lines that come to her mind .
