A new heart

I want a new heart. The one I have feels old.

I want a heart with love and warmth. The one I have is cold.

I want a heart that’s brave and strong and not afraid to fight.

I want a heart that fights for love and fights with its full might.

I want a heart that has no bruises, no blemishes and no scars.

I want a heart that’s full of life, like a shimmering, glowing star.

I want a heart that beats for you and you alone.

I want a heart that beats for you as if it was your own.

I want a heart that sings for you and makes you want to smile.

I want a heart that heals your wounds, even for a while.

I want a heart that soothes you. A heart as pure as yours.

I would give you my heart, my love, and you could give me yours.
