A Man's Plea

There is one question which always comes to my mind,

The solution to which I can never find.

If man and woman are two faces of the same coin,

Why are the rules different for either of the clubs I join.

Why can't I shed my tears,

And tell the world about my fears.

A million emotions on my way,

Which I can never display.

Why can't I be at home,

Watching my woman building up a new Rome,

Twisting up the societal roles,

To together achieve our life's goals.

Why do I have to live for everyone,

Oh! For God sake I am just done.

My deviant dreams can never be fulfilled,

Because I have millions of duties to get me grilled.

Can I not live just a simple life,

A cosy shed, me, my children and just my wife.

No rules and regulations tight,

Only joy and happiness in our sight.
