A Maiden's Fault

Naïve woman wandering in a temple, clueless her whole world was going to crumble

Her eyes were met by Poseidon, same eyes that would later turn into a bane

Next moment she was violated dishonored and disobeyed by the so-called God

Feeling helpless she went to Athena whose temple she wandered in

Just to be deemed as a betrayer a traitor and a fraud

Not only was she banished but she was cursed, cursed to her bone

So, no man could ever look at her and if he did, he’d turn to a stone

With snakes for hair and cracked skin

She was turned into a monster Lived a life of isolation with no other

Fate was never kind to her the story of medusa as we know has ended

She lived a lonely life till the maiden turned monster was finally beheaded
