Down the street

In a retreat

A little puppy lives

Born in winter

His mother, sister & brother

Killed by a hunter

Puppy now all alone

Has no one to take care

Has no one to share

Always remember his mother

Sisters and brothers

With the eyes full of tears

A cute little puppy

Scared of everyone

This morning, he feels hungry

But have no mother’s milk

Last night,

Someone threw a piece of bread

Little puppy quietly approached

Tried eating that piece of bread

It was hard to chew & swallow

Did not go in the throat below

Hey! God, he said,

Send my mother to feed me

I am hungry

Never imagined the life

Without my mother

Sister and brother

Next corner of the street

Curdling milk lying

A little cute puppy licked something

Sour but better than nothing

Hunger went away

A little cute puppy

Sat down behind the wall

Get into a thought

What my destiny is?

Then a strange sound came

Little puppy saw a man

Scared a bit

A man lifted the little puppy

Kissed him

Caress him gently

Little puppy feels the lap of his mother

This angel took the puppy

Now at home

Little puppy is very happy

Have everything

To play and jump on anything

Lot of milk to have

Someone to take care

Someone to share

This angel is not my mother

But not less than my mother

Thank God for this destiny

Said little cute puppy with tears

Tears of happiness and happiness

Thanks, thanks again…
