A Light

Sound fades out

The lights have been dead for a while

Thoughts have given to fatigue

Fear strikes as I cave in

Draw in a cold breath

As a cold hand touches my back I'm losing all heat

I'm losing all sight and sense

Do I fight this feeling?

Do I start to run again?

Instincts take over and mind wanders

Through the same hallways

Across the same room

Peaking around the same corner

I hear it again

I see it again

I'm in the zone again

Confident this time around

A light is on my back and I feel it burn
