A Letter To My Loved Ones

I see your pain, I see your struggles,

But did you never see me trying?

I see your pain even when you don’t say a thing,

But did you never hear me crying?

I see your fear of failure as you suffered,

But why does your fear make me feel petrified?

I understand you even when you hurt me,

But can you simply not try?

To make me the happy child,

To let me live without a sword hanging over me,

To simply let me be me-

Can you really not try?

My pain goes unnoticed-no one tries to know me,

Do you even know me?

Why put the world’s pressure on my little shoulders,

And try to bury the wings that wanted to grow older?

Why curse the rebel in me, as she only tried to live life free,

Free from the shackles of ill-bred minds,

Free from ancestral lies,

Free from all boundations,

Just to shine in the world like the Sun.

I am no less, let me assure you,

This little girl can do wonders too.

I am the creation of your Creator too,

The power in you is in me too.

I am deserving, I am capable,

Of all the happiness and successes,

I can make this life the best one,

For you and for me too.

But something hurts me deep down,

I think you know what this is about.

The hurt is made of your doubt,

Of your sharp words whenever you shout.

The hurt that you don’t believe,

In my own capabilities.

The hurt that you always doubt,

All of my golden dreams.

You think these words are a good sprout,

To the tree of my future, but I doubt

That you even know,

What do your words do to me down below?

The little girl in me, still sees you as her celebrities,

And when she hears your doubts about her,

She feels she cannot prosper,

She doubts all her golden dreams,

Just because you said that to me.

Please know, dearly, you are important,

In a little girl’s inner world,

She still looks to you for love,

Appreciation and words that make her prosper.

She only wants you to trust her,

Just the way you trust your Creator.

She only wants you to say the good,

Because if you say it, she believes she could.

She looks up to you just like her God,

And loves you much more than you thought.

So please try to be kind,

To the little girl that's deep inside,

Of your Eldest Daughter,

Who grew up so fast, she also forgot,

Her last carefree imaginary thought,

When she lived last, before the battles she fought.

I hope you know she is also tired,

From all the shields and armours, in which she hides,

I hope you know her inner child,

Simply want to rest in your love and light.

She's too tired to survive the cold,

And only wants you to hold,

Her into your lovely embrace,

To be told by you,

“I see you trying and I’m proud of you!”

To just put down all her shields,

And come home to you in sunny fields,

To experience the warmth that once lacked,

During the storm when she felt attacked.

To just be told,” It’s all good now,

And she did her best!” and the world will bow,

When they know how amazingly,

This little warrior fought and became the Queen!
