This is a letter to black women-

I love your healing.

The ones who speak life into that of which is dead and give it meaning.

You know that feeling,

That stops my bleeding

when I admire you like the sunset in the evening.

And as you speak over my grave,one would swear God has sent resurrection with a light that's beaming.

God's instruments of percussion. Still teaching love from a bright mind and helping us grow from the repercussions.

I don't think I tell you this enough,but....

I see you.

The steps you take that are grace personified.

Turning a house into a home that's fortified.

You know it's funny.

Cause as feisty as you can be, I know you are still as sweet as honey.

I know you are sensitive so let me watch what I say,because hair holds memories.

An identity; where your roots hold stories that goes back for centuries.

The crown that you style that gives you your natural glow.

A different glow that makes flowers flow And rivers grow.

That soft spoken tone.

That's music to my ears everytime I pick up the phone.

Your melanin tone warms me from the winter coming.

Your eyes stops my heart from rushing.

Your hands nuture something that is nothing,

And makes the same nothing into something.

Something worth appreciating and loving.
