A Letter

As you seek me,

So do I seek you.

I would pour my heart out,

But your own words keep me tethered.

I hide behind this quiet mask,

Crafted just to deceive you.

Perhaps I play the part too well,

For someone who never knew how.

As time pulls you further out of reach,

I grow ever afraid of losing you,

With my confession dying on my lips.

Whatever your answer may be,

Just wait a little longer.

Bear with me, as you have till now.

Let me finally say my piece,

So fate might draw us together,

And we might do the same for each other.
