Like a fool I fell.
The lights were dim and I saw your face,
Marred in red and covered in ashes from your last kill.
You begged me to leave and I didn't listen,
For a fleeting lie, I drowned out my reason,
For if I can't be happy forever, I'll choose to be delirious even just for
a second.
Your touch, the likes of a star,
Ghosting over my skin,
Lightyears away and I can still feel your caressing fingers.
Imagine, my skin would burn if you'd actually close the distance.
But now that I'm covered in your purple hyacinths,
I'm like Paris who lost the battle,
An empty heart, a cavitating mire.
With carefully pruned knives,
You sliced through my throat with a single strike,
And said I looked beautiful in the moonlight,
When I stared up at you with my hollow dead eyes.
