A Hymn to Harmony

By Jeetisha Dutt

Hark to the strains of the lone white dove,

Over the horizon, with the wind she flies.

Across the oceans spreading selfless love,

When the hues of dawn bedeck the skies.

To the ones led astray she’s a beacon of light,

The dove’s none other than peace incarnate.

She breaks all bounds, every boundary in sight,

Bonding hearts, Bonding nations great.

When amidst despair sounds hope’s refrain,

And holds out the olive branch- ‘Tis friendship true.

Then every soul does mingle leaving no constrain,

And the symphony of serenity is sung anew.

Divisions of ignorance you do destroy,

Over shadows you cast a spectrum’s kiss.

Prevail tranquility and unbridled joy,

Oh Peace, you shatter the confines of misery’s abyss,

Thou art the path to eternal bliss.

Wish the message gets spread across every corner of the world, echoing every heart, every mind the resonance of "A Hymn to Harmony".

What a better place the world would be if perceived from the poet's thought..

i liked this for how you speak about the dove being a symbol of peace for many nations and i especially liked the lines "divisions of ignorance you do destroy" as well as "she breaks all bounds, every boundary in sight, bonding hearts, bonding nations great".
