A Heart of Gold

The lights danced to the waves’ soft tune

As sandcastles turned to dunes

From the balcony, I gazed afar

Alchemy no longer a distant star.

Beside me, a heart of gold did shine

My folly, long unseen, now mine

The grandeur of her soul so pure

The desert filled with her charm & allure.

As lights grew dim and flickered low

To the heavens, my thoughts did go

Keep her exalted, forever adored

Then, now, forever, evermore
