A Head-Master

Its account of a kind man

Who teaches in a high school

And build characters out of dense souls

To counsel them in struggles of lifespan

Perfect is his pumpkin belly

Wise, keen, and smart his wit

Poetry of life he recites

Sprightly and sometimes slowly

An august philosopher

He believes simplicity and order

His thoughts measurably broader

In knowledge, sheep’s shepherd

Though short in stature

But lengthy in learned strategy

Loathe depravity

Loathe anger

His company is godly

And his character graces benevolence

And insightful his evidence

—Surely, surely.
