A Glimpse of Swiss
By Prerana Thakur
In December’s chill, the rivers flowing wide,
A melody of nature, soft and sweet,
The winter’s charm like a bride beside,
As I sat by the shore, peace I met,
A white blanket draped where dreams abide,
Covering the land in snow so deep.
On the cliffs I tread, where air numbs the soul,
Surrounded by the clouds, a soft embrace,
Among the peaks that stand tall and proud,
My heart leapt high, in awe of nature’s grace.
The Eiger’s peak, so mighty and clear,
Touching the sky’s edge, a boundless flight,
Without a tether, in awe I stand,
The views so vast, my mind in pure delight.
My first skydive, a moment of rapture,
In a free fall so thrilling, I conquered my fear.
Interlaken’s wild, a nerve wrecking ride,
Rafting through the waters that fiercely collide,
We laugh in the spray, adrenaline our guide,
As currents pull us, we swim with the tide,
Cherishing the alps where our spirits reside.
A paradise found, where thrill seekers roam,
Canyoning down the rocks, we slide,
Into pools so clear, a crystalline home,
The wildest of escapades, beneath heaven’s dome,
In Switzerland’s beauty, a lasting retreat
The memories linger, vivid and clear.
