A Girl’s Quest For Destiny

In days of youth, when life was new,

A lonely child, with few friends true,

Her parents worked, and she was left to pursue

Her own devices, with little to do.

She’d wander through fields of green,

And dream of adventures unseen,

But as the sun began to set,

She’d return home, with heart heavy yet.

She tried and tried, with all her might,

To make her life, a shining light,

But the world outside, seemed so dark and bleak,

And her heart, with sorrow, did speak.

Her parents, too, had hopes and fears,

And toiled to give her all their years,

But as the years went by, and she grew old,

She felt her life was but a tale told.

So, she held on to her dreams,

And prayed for a brighter scheme,

For in her heart, she knew one day,

She’d find her way, and chase the fray.
