A Forgotten Embrace

Burdened by the darkness in me,

Devoid, I long to be free,

Soul bound in heavy chains,

Found myself trapped in silent pains,

Dreams once bright, now turned to stone,

Wandering through a world unknown,

Seeking freedom, yet lost in the plea,

The key still remains with you, you see.

Through the melancholic distance pushing us apart,

A ghost of you lingers within my heart.

What once was whole, now fractured, torn,

I ache for the love that I once mourned.

The silence stretches, cruel and cold,

As we wither in stories left untold.

And still, I reach for the love we knew,

A love now buried beneath the dew,

Yet in the void, I feel your trace,

A fleeting warmth, a forgotten embrace.
