A Failed Attempt

They say you write good.

You got talent

No, I just got pain.

And no one to express it to

That I don’t know

how to bring words to play

But still I naturally get to confine

my pain in those words.

That I just don’t write

with ink in my pen.

But with tears in my eyes.

That writing was never a gained skill.

But a coping mechanism

to declutter my feelings.

That when my heart is unable

to hold what strikes within.

My heart profoundly bleeds it on paper.

And people call that a vivid expression.

But for me it’s a failed attempt to heal

from my cognitive dissonance.
