A Doe's Grief

The forest glowed, the sky was blue,

Two gentle deer, just me and you.

We walked through leaves with hearts so light,

Not knowing death would come that night.

A sudden sound, a cruel blast—

I saw you fall, your eyes went still,

My world went dark, against my will.

No voice to call, no step to take,

Just pain too deep, a heart that breaks.

Now I walk where we once ran,

Alone, afraid, without a plan.

The forest speaks, but not like you—

It whispers loss, and all feels blue.
