A Divine Counterpart

(Part-I)

The way they meet

Always feels a little destined,

As if orchestrated

By the supreme;

The clouds in the sky

Start to part,

Making way

For a single ray of sunshine

To depart;

Depart from the heavens

To make haste,

For the world

To finally taste

What it’s like

When two divine counterparts

Come into each other’s existence at last…

(Part-II)

Their existence serves

As a reminder for when

Things in life

Get a little too unkempt,

There’s someone just like you

In another part of this realm,

Seeking, nothing more

Than for you

To not give up

Before making it to them,

So you’re just in time

To join the advent

Of the age of the lovers and healers

Who have always meant well…

(Part-III)

Turbulence, trials and tribulations,

What don’t they endure

To reach this level of elation?

“Ah there you are!”

“I’ve finally found you!”

Could you be overjoyed

To imagine that for you too?

If so,

Then set out fearlessly

In pursuit of your light;

What makes it shine?

Who needs its sight?

The role that you play

In this world,

No matter how small,

I promise would make sense

Dare you let it be seen and heard;

Let it be known

What’s in your heart,

Only then can you be found

By your own divine counterpart.

(Idea behind the poem: a person’s divine counterpart is said to be someone they share a deep soul connection with, someone who once you cross paths with, makes you embark on or accompany you on a sacred journey to your spiritual awakening or true life purpose; they’re someone you can have a relationship with that is in your highest good and make you most fulfilled in life. So if you want to be with somebody who is so perfectly in alignment with you and all your goals and desires, you must find it in you the courage to be perfectly honest with yourself and let it reflect in your outer world as well. After all, how can you expect to find somebody who is the real deal for you, when you are not even being real yourself…?)
