I looked at what surrounded me

An unjust nation, a corruption ridden land.

Yet none stood against it

This I did not understand.

And so, I questioned -

Are the people here blind?

Does light not enter their eye?

Are the people here dumb?

Does breath not drop by?

Has their hearing failed them?

Has their ear ceased toil?

Do the people suffer from paralysis?

Do their joints need oil?

With time did wisdom answer -

People do see the light,

Light that blinds the dark.

Vibrations do pass their chords,

From the vocals to the void does it embark.

They hear well but cannot distinguish

The angel’s call from the siren’s snare.

They suffer not from paralysis

But only play dead before the bear.

If you want to be free from all corruption

Take the staff and firmly command.

Be brave, live in the truth

And so shall all filth one day be banned.
