A Day That Will Forever Stay

By Veda Guntupalli

This was the best day.

A day I will cherish forever.

This was  relaxing, like sitting on hay

One that I will remember.

The most fun-filled hour,

With not one second empty of laughter.

With music filling every visible corner.

For the first time, I felt so fun and free

This day, I fear will not happen again.

But I hope it repeats.

And although the beats may repeat, I fear this won’t.

This is a memory,

one that is carved within me..
