A Day’s Praise

By Brianna G Shullai

Let me to thy charge,

As water in relent to succumb.

For this my love attestable,

And finite thought of heavenly liken, as all but none.

On truth, its transparency transcends;

Lest the impediment.

In mastery, the naught foreplays as deceit,

As if pleasure a fleeting despair in word.

Mankind in oblivion by device,

Holds image over prior until –

Blood taints the fairest creature

Prevailed in of nearest day, then! As surely

Every knee bowed, each tongue in confess

To the son of man’s glory.
