A DATE WITH HOPE

I flirted with hope a little today,

we shared sly smiles and quick glances, neither of us spoke much,

but there were silent promises made, i flirted my way into making hope more than just a friend,

hope knew what i was doing,

it played a little too,

said it will take more than just sheepish flirting for me to make it stay long,

i upped my game and asked if it would like my heart to keep,

hope said no,

it said i would like your heart to keep me.
