A Covert Sore

A covert sore

I grew flowers

Out of calluses

A garden formed as

Mazes ran through my lesions

A red sky punctured

To get my attention

A tear in the core

Took rent I swore

Waves of anguish

Just to rise and fall

A profound sorrow I see

As I immerse in the alluring sea

Shall I moisten

The little saplings

Of the roots

That have deepened sore

How did I create

This forest of affliction

A trail feigned by

Disguised imps with diction
