Conversation Part 1

Daughter-Mother

Slow down mamma,

Catch a breath.

I see you running all day;

And breaking into sweat.

I see you fret over little things

May be big for u I will agree

But what about time that’s running out

For you to spend with me?

That’s my point no doubt!

You may be doing all this only for me;

But I wish just for once... you could see

How i wait all day for the night to come,

When it’s just me with you and stories of fun.

Just us and our talks

Till I doze off.. and again you pull up your socks

To prepare for yet another dawn

A day that will again seem so long!

....

A conversation- Part 2

Mother to Daughter

.....

To prepare for yet another dawn

A day that will again seem so long!

....

I know my love .. u wait for me

Just as I wait for us to be..

I have so much on my mind

And so many responsibilities ... life isn’t always kind...

I love u beta... I love u most

I wish i could... make this time pause!

Just hold your hand and hug you tight

Laugh at your little pranks with all my might

You may not know it now...

I too have been through this

But trust me...

Even the Little moments with you..

I try not to miss

Everyday I see you grow..

Into a beautiful little Miss.

I’m doing all I can

Greedily holding to your memories as hard as I can

To look back when you shall be bold

To be the master of the reins you shall hold

When I’ll be too old to keep up to your pace

With all the wrinkles on my face

That’s when I’ll reminisce over these times

That we both would have left behind.
