A Certain Midnight When Life Spoke To Me

You took the trouble of the whole world upon you,

Did you ever realize the world would go on

Just fine without you?

While you crib over something as petty as an answer-sheet,

millions don’t even have something to eat

You are made of Earth, you will go back to Earth

Even without you there is no dearth

So stop this endless jargon

Feel every breath, feel every hour

Avoid letting anger make things sour

When you realize you are petty

You’re winning half the battle already

Knowing that you have possibilities

Is a blessing

Stop running after things that are missing

We confuse life with the ambience around

Know that Life is within, not without

Somewhere between victory and defeat,

I realized just being alive

and getting to breathe

Was a treat

I don’t know about Heaven and Hell

But Kipling said

use the ‘unforgiving minute’ well !

Let me end on that note,

At the stroke of midnight hour,

This rhyme that Life wrote.
