A Brightening Dot in The Sky

By Prachi Tripathi

A child points out at me for how shiny I am

The other star next to me , made a wham

He said “You finally got noticed”

I felt that I am the brightest

Getting noticed in a crowd

It gave me the feeling of being proud

I might be as small as a dot in the sky

But didn’t expect a tear from my eye

The others praised me but rest told me that I’m just a “common

star”

But for me it fixed one of my scar

Being praised for something is small

Yet it made my heart fall
