A Bad Kind of Nostalgia

I see you everywhere,

In everything, and everyone.

I see you in the tooth brush I use,

The chocolate you once got me,

The emoji you used to use,

The song you liked,

The food you disliked,

Everything, and everyone.

I try to find traces of you in everyone I meet,

But no one even compares to you.

I still do it regardless, I never understood why.

I still see you everywhere,

But do you?

Does anything in your glamorous life remind you of me?

Among the pretty cityscapes, your fun friends,

Do you sometimes see glimpses of me?

Did I mean anything to you?

Do I mean anything to you?
