The power to vote,

Was vested in my hand,

Till I traded for few bucks,

And lost my mother land,

Held guilty for my actions,

Cursed and even blamed,

It was greed that fooled me,

That masked their evil game,

When votes were paper ballot,

And EVMs not around,

Everyone was felt valued,

With no whistles making sound,

There was honesty in the process,

Rightful Systems in its place,

Every citizen had an opinion,

Even Losers smiled with grace,

Corruption started blooming,

All criminals wanted claim,

Horse trading became a practice,

Good candidates were defamed,

Today Brother is fighting brother,

Vigilantes are religious squad,

Poverty has broken records,

And Leaders have become gods,

Forgot lessons from our history,

We are not slaves to be ruled,

It took only a few thousands,

To make us look like fools,

Corrupt leaders make big money,

Judges never go to jail,

Only poor are shamed forever,

When their vote is up for sale.
