Scar
By Shreya Ghoshal
Few hours back I dared a dare to do,
I asked the gleam its gloom.
Asked the pinching fact to,
the beauty of a blue bloom.
It flashed a silver light,
showering my answers, holding its navel tight.
Said,
“When no one retained,
remained my scars,
when I didn’t had a single beat,
they sent me their heart in jars.
Collected my shines when I was scattering,
they did it all, when each of my bits were shattering.
Saw drizzles together, played with clouds too
Never left me alone, that’s why show my shadow at the back of the black hue.
They filled my pain in their depth,
they are really deep, convicted of theft.
Always lit me up in the dark sky,
the best part of them is,
my scars never lie.
They are my truth, that I can’t deny,
but, they are the truth,
who saves me from my scary cry.
They are the prettiest pain I ever had,
they adorn me, and I don’t think they look bad!
Like the beauty gives a glance to its grace,
all my scars, I gladly embrace.
They highlight the real me,
I also want to give the gloom its enchanting glee.
I am the beauty with my scars,
we are fond of each other’s wound,
follows us the glossy stars.
