Papa

By Parizad Gaur

The last time I saw my father, waving a goodbye with his girthy hands,

Through the foggy air of the station,

Hiding pain behind his hazel eyes,

I see, he was still looking at his small girl moving away from him,

I never wished him happy birthday, nor father’s day,

But deep down , the silence between us

Always whispered me,

“I love you so much”.
